Oskar
Oskar was born in San Sebastian and traveled around the world enjoying different projects. Showing the Basque way of living is his passion, and if this happens on a bike, satisfaction is double. Trying to be part of the solution and not of the problem in all spheres of his life is his philosophy.

Luis
Luis is a passionate "Donostiarra" which means originally from San Sebastian, very proud of his roots, culture, gastronomy and traditions. He is a graduate in Tourism and has a degree in Hotel Management and Public Relations. After been 20 years in the hotel industry occupying management positions, he started to show other people his culture and country and he falls in love doing it. He is a very active person and a proud father of two kids, he is always keen to meet new people to show them his land and talk about life.

Fredy
Fredy is from Switzerland. He arrived in San Sebastian for love with his van, a mechanic table with tools and some wood working machines. He lived in different countries and had different businesses in the action sports industry which helped him to develop his ability for languages. If he is not cooking for his family or riding a bike or a skateboard with his kids you will probably find him in the garden with his chickens.
WHAT OUR GUESTS & FRIENDS SAY ABOUT US
Basque Cycling, an underated trip that should be done by more. - Just finished my bike ride and I will say it is epic. You start in San Sebastian but you hit these beautiful little fishing villages, and on your way you... read more see the mountains, little dotted farms and of course the sea. There is a stop in a nice little medieval town where you will eat something to keep you going.
Luis was super accommodating and spoke with me first about possible plans before we head out. He is a great lead, communicating directions, giving great signals, and checking up on me from start to finish. While I was struggling at Zone 4 most of the time, he was in zone 1 lol, such a beast. I opted for more elevation gain on my trip, about 1000m, but this was a personal choice and if you're a beginner Luis can fit that in.
Next time I'm back, I'm definitely going to come stronger.

Great Ambassadors for Cycling and San Sebastián - Overall: Of the four rental experiences we had on our visit to Spain, Basque Country Cycling was the warmest and most satisfying. We’re glad we found them and hope others... read more find them too.
The details: Let’s talk about how wonderful Basque Country Cycling is. We worked with Luis and Oskar specifically. Both gentlemen bring professional backgrounds in hospitality, athletics, and sporting apparel, and now are putting their talents to work in bike tourism. And what friendly and accommodating ambassadors they are for their beautiful San Sebastián and the sport of cycling at large.
Our party rented both touring e-bikes and road bikes on separate days during our stay in San Sebastián. All bikes were in tip-top condition, well-maintained, and clean—this is a quality touch which you cannot take for granted when renting bikes.
San Sebastián is great for bike tourism. There are bike lanes everywhere, and outside of the beachfront there are hills. You can hit the high points in one full day, but if you want to go more in depth, consider renting the touring bikes for two days.
For road bikes and those who want to go farther afield, it appeared they have several, well maintained models to choose from. The Giant Defy (Ultegra) I was given was a great ride. It’s obvious the business takes care of it. And why not? If you’re going to descend a hill on someone else’s bike, you need confidence that the bike is safe and in top condition.
Whether you engage BCC for a guided epic ride or you just want to load .gpx files and ride the climbs and courses in the pro races (IYKYK), they will give you the local advice that intermediate and advanced roadies are seeking.
